Health | How daily supplements changed my life (with a 15€ discount for you)

Let's start by what is usually in the fine print: I am not a medical practitioner. This article was written based on my experience, body, health, type of diet and lifestyle. I have not taken any kind of permanent medicine (except sporadic ibuprofen once a month) in the past two years. Before embarking on any kind of supplement, contact your doctor to confirm and validate your supplements so that they don't cancel your current needs. Also, I am sharing my experience as a woman in conceiving / fertile age. I do not know much about perimenopause and menopause but I have started reading about it and I am happy I am not waiting to be 40 or 50 to know what I know and can tackle now. Information is key. It can be overwhelming knowing there are so many resources and "noise" everywhere, but truth is that: you have to be your own detective.

Every other day I share a few bits of my routine on our personal Instagram account. And in most of my morning shots, there is always a cork coaster filled with colourful (or pastel) capsules. About 20-ish of them. I call them breakfast. And aside from the capsules, I also have shots and powders on the side. The whole shenanigan. Let me tell you why.

I re-started my personal health journey back in February. I share one of the major reasons that was impacting my health below.

Three months in, I can confirm taking on this journey has changed my life and my mindset (which is the most difficult). Aside from several things I have tackled, supplements are an integral part of the journey. And three months in, I am ready to share more about the supplements I take daily. Those that have helped me either as a kick-start or as a steady boost that whether in a health journey or not, have provided benefits in my life.

I believe in supplements since I have started taking probiotics in 2017. They have completely changed my life (and my gut) and they turned me into a believer. It was a journey as well, with several experiences with different brands until I found what worked better for me.

And that is the main take away from supplementation: not everything will work for everybody. You need to understand your needs and also give time to check for changes. I have heard countless friends telling me "I took probiotics on your advice and they didn't work for me" but they mostly expected it to work as an immediate laxative as the distance from my advice and their feedback was generally short. That is not how supplements work. You also need to pay attention to formulas, dosages and the mixes you do. And some will indeed not work. Others will be more immediate. Listen to your body, it will guide you more than this article!

Also I want to add that no matter where I was in my life health-wise, I am an avid veggie eater. As in, don't tell me to eat more spinach or carrots to get more vitamins. It's not about that. It's increasing supplements where you need to tackle issues or to prevent them. No matter what you eat, you are losing 1% of your collagen every year, you know.

A few supplements that I take are classics (good ol' Vitamin B12) others might be controversial, such as "Nature's Ozempic".

Let's get into it?
