The 7th edition of "Jazz nas Adegas" in Silves

As the sun sets over the picturesque town of Silves in the heart of Algarve, Portugal, the air becomes infused with the soulful notes of jazz, marking the 7th Edition of "Jazz in the Wineries." As small wine makers ourselves, we love events that combine several of our passions, such as wine, food and music.

This unique event, spanning several weeks from November to May, promises to be a melodic journey through some of the region's most delightful wineries, creating an unforgettable blend of music, culture, and local businesses.

What happens whilst you attend: each event is set different but all will allow to have 3 wine tastings as well as local petiscos ("tapas" style).

Cost: €20 per person

Here is the schedule:

Feel Good Band Kicks Off the Celebration (January 12-13)

The festival kicks off on January 12th with the Feel Good Band at the Real Picadeiro, nestled in the scenic Vinhos Quinta da Malaca in Pêra. The celebration continues into the following day, offering an afternoon performance at 5:00 PM.

Low Tech Groove at Quinta do Barradas (January 26-27)

Two weeks later, on January 26th, Low Tech Groove will play through the vineyards of Quinta do Barradas. The evening performance at 9:00 PM sets the stage for a weekend escape.

Silves Filarmónica Combo at Cabrita Wines (February 23-24)

In late February, the festival moves to Cabrita Wines, where the Silves Filarmónica Combo will weave their musical tapestry on the 23rd and 24th. The magical setting of the winery, coupled with the jazz rhythms, promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

The Pocket Band at Herdade Barranco do Vale (March 8-9)

March ushers in the lively beats of The Pocket Band at Herdade Barranco do Vale. With performances on the 8th at 9:00 PM and the following day at 5:00 PM, this promises to be a weekend filled with toe-tapping rhythms and the warmth of local hospitality.

Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve at Quinta do Rogel (March 22-23)

As March draws to a close, the Algarve Jazz Orchestra takes center stage at Quinta do Rogel. The 22nd and 23rd will see the estate bathed in the enchanting sounds of jazz at 9:00 PM and 5:00 PM, respectively, creating a symphony of flavors and melodies.

The New Orleans Jazz Band at Quinta João Clara (April 5-6)

April brings the infectious spirit of New Orleans Jazz to Quinta João Clara. On the 5th at 9:00 PM and the 6th at 5:00 PM, the vineyard will resonate with the vibrant sounds that define the heart and soul of jazz.

Comfort Trio at Barranco Longo (April 19)

Barranco Longo becomes the stage for the Comfort Trio on April 19th at 9:00 PM, promising an evening of serenity and musical comfort under the starlit sky.

Lu-Fuki Trio at Paxá Wines (May 10-11)

May heralds the arrival of Lu-Fuki Trio at Paxá Wines. On the 10th at 9:00 PM and the 11th at 5:00 PM, let the trio guide you through a journey of musical discovery against the backdrop of the vineyard's scenic beauty.

The Invisible Tuba at Convento do Paraíso (May 24-25)

The grand finale unfolds at Convento do Paraíso on May 24th and 25th, with The Invisible Tuba casting its enigmatic spell at 9:00 PM and 5:00 PM, respectively. Revel in the mystery of their tunes, bringing a fitting close to this mesmerizing jazz odyssey.
